Saint-Lin/Laurentides

Saint-Lin-Laurentides is a Canadian town in Quebec, located in the Montcalm RCM in the Lanaudière region.

Despite the fact that its name includes "Laurentides", the municipality has the distinction of being located just outside the region of the same name.

The town is named in honor of Saint Lin, the second pope.

In France, there is a commune of the same name in the Deux-Sèvres department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

The river Achigan crosses the north-western tip of the municipality from north-east to south-west, and returns to cross the municipality from west to east. The river Beauport, coming from the northeast, joins the Achigan at the northwestern edge of the municipality. The Petite Rivière, flowing southwest, crosses the northeast of the municipality to its confluence with the Rivière de l'Achigan west of downtown.
